Soulfly at Wacken? WTF?!?!?!?!

Seriously, what's next, Slipknot? I always thought of Wacken as a haven for people into real metal, not watered down tripe that corporate assholes try to pass off as metal. I seriously hope this isn't a downward spiral that will end in Wacken being the ozzfest of Europe. I'm fully aware all you European types will call me closed-minded, but you didn't have to deal with all the morons with pink hair, korn shirts, and pants 90 sizes too big running around saying "metal is dead" all throughout the 90s like we did over here. Now that the "nu-metal" (un-metal) trend is dying, they want to jump off their sinking ship and be considered a part of metal? FUCK THAT! Of course I'm still going, but I doubt I'd cross the atlantic for Wacken alone this year.

I'd say it's a pretty safe bet, I have a shaved head and a denim vest with a King Diamond backpatch, I was hanging out with some Irish types over there.

Ya, I actually ran into Pasha again at the Heathen Crusade fest in Minnesota, we've been keepin' in touch a bit, planning to meet up in Wacken again, possilby Party-San as well, assuming he makes it.

I've seen Soulfly live some 8-9 years ago.
Just checked it, was May 26, 1998 in Stockholm

I rather liked it and don't mind them coming.

Can't say I like Korn, Slipnot or Limp Bizcuit (spelling?)


If I'd be pissed at anything it's all the damn power metal bands that plays, but I'll stick to the camp and my beers when those guys are playing

i´ve seen soulfly live this year, my girlfriend at that time realy wanted to see soulfly live, so i went together with her to a concert...
what i can say about it: better save the money

so soulfly in wacken is the best time to go back to the camping area and have a nap , or even better eat something and drink more beer
