Well, I will be in Dublin and I will be flying on Wednesday to Hamburg (7am flight). Maybe we will spend some time in the city before taking the train to Itzehoe. If you think you can be that early
in Hamburg, sure, we can go out for a beer or 2. Morning beers are the best

Q: What happens when a big name act has to cancel?? Do they try to fill the spot with another big name?? b/c I am still going but I am not going to lie Seeing Iced Earth there was a HUGE plus for me. I want to see many other bands and it will still be awesome but less so now...

I reckon they'll do their best to find a replacement, as equal as Iced Earth. But for European standards of course!
And the cancellation is totally due to Iced Earth themselves!
To give another example, Megadeth cancelled their tour for Rock Hard, and is now replaced by Testament.
Megadeth will however play in Wacken!

I know why they had to cancel and am not mad or anything.. just wonder if the organizers will sub out a band of equal calibre in "roughly" the same sub genre (though that is more and more difficult to decipher now a days) Like I said still more than enough to be excited about but I have always seemed to miss seeing Iced Earth play (like I am cursed or something! LOL) missed flights , called into work, tour dates changed...... And now Stu is singing for them!!!! (sigh) one day.

btw I have noticed that whatever translator is being used here that often there are words that come up are different than the ones I type? like s t I L L comes up silently or slightly? has anyone else come across this issue at all?

I think back in 2003, a big anem (possibly being iced earth? ) also had to cancel and then they flew in twisted sister for a reunion show (they hadn't been playing for many years I think)
