I've found decent bus routes between the cities in Tassie I'm visiting, so should work out well I hope.

Actually, if you're on facebook, check out the Crowbar page for updates. It's not strictly a metal bar, but it's a live music venue several days of the week:

It's pretty much across the road from Fortitude Valley train station between two titty bars (I think it used to be one too before it was turned into a live music venue) and a sushi bar. If all else fails, look for the people wearing black clothes and sensible shoes
There are other gigs at other venues near enough to the CBD, I'll do my best to keep you informed.
I do have a fake FB account with no friends attached that I use for metal and beer updates, might check that site out, thanks!
