enslavedENSLAVED werden mit dem Album "The Sleeping Gods - Thorn" eine Sammlung rarer und experimenteller Songs veröffentlichen. Die Scheibe enthält Songs welche 2010 und 2011 zwischen den Alben "Axioma Ethica Odini" und "Riitiir" entstanden sind und auf sehr limitieren EPs zu haben waren. Aufgenommen wurden diese im Solslottet Studio in Bergen sowie in Studios der Bandmitglieder und teilweise in den tiefen Wäldern von Valevaag in Norwegen.
Costin Chioreanu von Twilight 13 Media (Roadburn Festival, Opeth, Darkthrone, At The Gates, etc.) hat das schicke Albumcover designed.
Das Album wird am 11.11.2016 via By Norse Music veröffentlicht und als auf 250 Stück limitierte blaue Vinyl Scheibe (Webshop Edition) sowie schwarzes Vinyl, Digipak CD und als Download zu haben sein.
Vorbestellungen sind ab dem 30.9.2016 möglich.

The music nods respectfully to the wildly varying deities that make up the pantheon of inspiration for us, both “then” and “now”. There are traces of the both proto-black metal of Bathory, the classic Rock and Heavy Metal of the 70s and 80s, the synthisized and sequenced masters of the 70s, prog-rock, world/ Norse folk music, Norwegian Black Metal of the 90s, modern classical music, goth rock a la Fields of the Nephilim and much more. «

Metal Blade legen die RIOT-Klassiker ‘Fire Down Under’ und ‘Restless Breed’ neu auf! - vom 08.09.2016, 06:51

In den letzten Jahren haben Metal Blade Records einige RIOT-Alben auf Digi-CD und LP wiederveröffentlicht.

Am 23. September folgen die nächsten zwei Titel aus dem reichhaltigen Katalog dieser fabelhaften Band. ‘Fire Down Under‘ und ‘Restless Breed‘ sind Meilensteine in der Geschichte von RIOT, und sie in bestmöglicher Form wieder erhältlich zu machen, ist uns ein Vergnügen.

‘Fire Down Under‘ wird als Digi-CD mit zwei Bonustracks (‘Misty Morning Rain’ und ‘You’re All I Needed Tonight’) und auf Vinyl in drei verschiedenen Versionen erscheinen (180 g black/artic white marbled/yellow mit orangefarbenen Sprenkeln).

‘Restless Breed‘ wird als Digi-CD mit den sechs Songs der EP ‘Riot Live‘ von 1982 als Bonus und auf Vinyl in drei verschiedenen Versionen erscheinen (180 g black/red opaque/violet blue marbled).

Beide Alben wurden von Patrick Engel remastert, um die bislang beste Soundqualität des Materials zu erzielen. Die LP-Versionen kommen jeweils mit Poster, die Digi-CDs mit Poster-Booklets.

IRON BONEHEAD PRODUCTIONS is proud to present BÖLZER's massively anticipated debut album, Hero. Hailing from Switzerland, BÖLZER are one of the most unique entities the metal underground has birthed in years. For one, BÖLZER are proudly and resolutely a duo, using the barest essentials of voice, guitar, and drums and yet creating one of the densest, most world-eating sounds around. For another, the duo have wisely and patiently parceled out their recordings, with a lone nine songs to date across three records - 2012's Roman Acupuncture demo, 2013's IRON BONEHEAD-released Aura EP, and 2014's Soma EP - judiciously chronicling the band's evolution into one of the most critically acclaimed metal bands in recent memory. And yet, "critical acclaim" has never been a part of BÖLZER's agenda: their commitment is to their art alone, but it just so happens that word-of-mouth built organically (and feverishly), especially on the strength of their devastating, soul-draining live performances, where they can recreate every aspect of their records in the flesh.

And at long last, flesh is given to a full-length album, and it bears the characteristically idiosyncratic title Hero. Here, in many ways, BÖLZER break from their past. Rich 'n' resonant clean vocals often take center stage, lending an alternately mournful/majestic quality to the duo's earth-juddering bulldoze. Likewise, the production across Hero is categorically cleaner than their grime-coated EPs, which dynamically enhances the spiraling melodicism that explodes into being here. Suitably, the songwriting itself takes on dazzling new contours, wending 'n' winding with even more fluidity - and certainly more daring - than the band's epic-yet-effortless EPs. And yet, for however seemingly radical these developments are - ultimately, they shouldn't be that "radical" in the hands of capable and sincere artisans - it all sounds like BÖLZER, both what they were, what they can be, and most especially, what they currently are. Every aesthetic suggestion, every subtle nuance, every thing left unsaid in the past: here on Hero, it's all harnessed into a molten maelstrom that's ever more unique (and alien) because it's unshackled itself from expectation. It is, in a word, heroic. But what is the meaning of Hero? Discover for yourself, plunge into that maelstrom, and let BÖLZER be your guide.

ARMORED SAINT wollen voraussichtlich Anfang 2017 mittels Crowdfunding ein neues Live-Album rausbringen. Es beinhaltet Aufnahmen vom Wacken-Auftritt 2015 und der Headliner-Show in Aschaffenburg.

Die Platte wird in Verbindung mit PledgeMusic in verschiedenen Formaten und Bundles herausgegeben.
