yeah, that sounds reasonable. Thats about what I thought, too. Fuckloads of work, I´d say ;)
OK, lets start somehow - maybe with the name? Ideas?
I think it would be too expensive too rename the Mezcal, so we just need a name for our company :D

Let me contact some distilleries, and maybe we could buy un-bottled Mezcal (it would be the same as any other brand) and bottle it ourselves... Then we could add something extra and change the name... I think and spanish name would be fine and exotic, but you all know the german market better than me...

@Shizzo: That's a good idea, and that's what I was thinking, if we could sell more stuff the costs of shipping would reduce a little bit...

The idea of our own brand is brilliant, but what to add, real Mezcal includes 100% Agave and the original worm...... any idea?

The Mezcal would be 100%Agave of course, just like out of the distillery. Our mezcal has to be a REALLY good one.. I was thinking about adding some cilli powder, a different bottle, package... more worms (I read somewhere that's there's a brand that's exported to China with lots of worms inside the bottle).... and so on....

well, about the name. I agree, a bit exotic is good. And easy to pronounce. And we have to think about if we plan to sell our stuff not only in Germany but in other European countries as well.
Next question - do we wanna sell that stuff to resellers or to end customers?
What about the status of that company - we need a form of organization I think.
About starting money we could ask at several places - but then we´ll have a lot of work writing a business plan and doing market research and stuff.

What about first checking what special skills and knowledge WE do have?

/me has only a clue about design; webdesign/-programming, CI and stuff of course; maybe a bit marketing/promotion and a bit experience in being self-employed :D

Isn´t the Chili powder add to the most of the bottles (withwormsalt) in a small bag on the bottles neck? The most brands I´ve seen in Oaxaca have it...
YES, it must be an real good one!
I read the same thing in my lost Mezcal book - standing that to China there goes up to 25 worms each bottle, because they are so wild with it.
(On New year - I got the worm again :) )

@Lucretia: The form of organization is a good point. I don't know what's better. Being a society in both countries or partners in two different countries in terms of taxes and importing/exporting facilities. That's something we could start reserching for.
About experience, well... when I was studying my degree I had an Entrepreneurship class. I made a business plan for a company back then... let me try to find the information source of that. Besides that.. I'm and engineer (not realated at all) and with no experience being self employed but I learn fast ;) :p

@Shizzo: Yes, the chilli powder is that little bag and almost all the Oaxaca brands have the chilli powder, but I haven't seen it on most of the brands I can find here :(

I have no fucking clue :( Good topic for doing research!

about skills and stuff I think that doesn´t sound too bad :)
I think our biggest lack of knowledge will be the import/export thingy (I doubt Suwarin is an expert in that?)... maybe we find some people we could ask about it!? I have some friends who learned something about shipping companies - though that was years ago, I´ll ask them anyway.
