How many bands are still to be announced?

last year's total amount of slots (not bands) was about 130. This means there are 70 slots left. But this includes 30 Metal Battle competitors as well as Beergarden acts, spoken word performances, more comedy and walking acts. I guess there'll be about 20-25 "serious" announcements.

Hellfest is in June, and I've heard the camping is pretty crappy as well. Besides, the French can't brew beer.

Furthermore, there are 3 stages, so you'll see many bands overlap each other. And don't care about big names! They will overlap as well!

J'étais à plusieurs reprises en France avant et les gens que je connais, là où en réalité au Hellfest. Et ils ont dit, l'un des meilleurs festivals-ils jamais le cas. Vous savez que certains d'entre eux aussi? : o

Je connais des Wallons qui ont été, ainsi que des Français. Ils disent que le camping c'est de l'arnaque, mais le festival a une bonne ambiance, mais, avec 3 podiums, cela joue l'une contre l'autre.
Et une chose que les Belges ont tous dit, les Français ne savent pas brasser proprement une bière!

OK. I think with 10 good announcements (I mean: real good) we can all be happy and live the 7 months that separate us from the 2014 WOA kick-off in metal piece. Let's say 2 power metal bands (how about the pumpkins from Hamburg and Gamma Ray?), 2 thrash acts (anybody said Exodus and Sepultura? Thought so.), 2 death metal gods (gimme the Obituary, pleasepleaseplease) and a few class acts like Twisted Sister, Metal Church and the mighty Grave Digger and we're set.
Does it show I'm 50?

Seriously speaking, Heidevolk are very good!

I saw them at the Hörnerfest last year. Apart from a bad sound mixer, who practically deleted the vocals, it was a good performance!
After the concert I talked to them, also about it, and they had to agree with me that the vocals were difficult to hear from either stage and public. (they have someone walking through the audience)

Lemmy will be at WOA 2014, it seems. Hopefully he'll be in good shape by then.
It's always good to see Motorhead live, so for me this is good news. Thanks orga...
