sorry, aber wenn du sagst, der britische humor soll in gb bleiben, dann haben auch die mc d hamburger in amiland zu bleiben. und die hamburger vom bk auch. und walkmans in japan, genauso wie aas sushi ...

und jeder soll in seinem eigenen land bleiben, denn dann lernt er nichts neues kennen, lernt keine neuen "kulturen" kennen bei denen er, vielleicht auch mit der sprache, schwierigkeiten haben könnte.

A few years back, there was a Beck's commercial on TV here, where a German guy steps up to a microphone, and goes, "Hallo, I am Klaus, I have just flew in from Berlin, und boy are my arms tired!"

Of course, the joke fails miserably, and then you hear the ad slogan:

"Germans don't do comedy - They do BEER!"

achja und toffi, tut mir leid wenn ich das jetzt sagen muss, aber was war denn wie der krieg begonnen hat mit deinem bunkerbau?

sowas is meiner meinung nach geschmacklos, weil in nem krieg halt, zum teil auch unschuldige menschen sterben, die froh gewesen wären und weiter leben hätten können, wenn se nen bunker gehabt hätten

Actually there is good german humour (and bad german comedy, loads of it actually), but I guess most of it is untranslatable.

well, I've heard that you don't truly know a language until you are able to succesfully make jokes in it. Which makes sense to me.
