hm... i'd say stuff like whiskey doesn't really get bad because its been distilled... the high alkohol content should kill off any bacteria and there isn't any "hefe" that can go bad...

As long as it has a strong level of alcohol and you don't open the bottle it should be ok.
The only sad thing about it is that the whisky doesn't age when lying on a bottle.
I'd like to buy a keg of whisky, storing it at home, and then opening it after several years. But it cost an insane amount of money...
