@gnoff & Anne
THANKS!!
I´m just doing an update, but I have actually such a lot of inof that I don´t manage to put all of it online today
@Gnoff
... as you see, I don´t manage to expand the guide at the moment at all. Guess its really too much work for one person. But if I decide to do a gig guide one day be assured I´ll contact you!
SummerBreeze was great. On my opinion not as great as Wacken, it´s not the spirit of Wacken but cool anyway. But that´s my personal experience. There were a few things that sucked a little because I´m used to Wacken
So it started really great for us. We missed our train because of a broken-down subway. Hahaha. So it took us 9 hours to get down there and my sis had to pick us up at the train station at 2 in the night...
Then the campgrounds were 2,5 km up on the mountain away from the stages so there were shuttle busses going, but of course you had to wait and wait. That sucked a little... and because of that distance and the security you couldn´t take a beer inside as in Wacken, so you had to spend a lot of money on drinks.
And on the 1st day you weren´t allowed to take cameras inside. I smuggled mine inside anyway, didn´t want to leave it in a box where everybody could steal it. That are things which are way cooler at Wacken. Also the fact that the stages were on concrete and not on a meadow as in Wacken. And as always we had campground neighbors with a horrible taste of music. That´s festival law I guess.
But BESIDES these things everything was cool. The toilets were better that at WOA and the whole thing is just smaller. I don´t regret at all that I was there. Seen a lot of great bands & shows. You can check for pix at my private HP (guess you know the link?!) So, if the billing is as good, maybe I´ll be there again next year, too
