Even worse than wannabes are the people who constantly complain about wannabes - normally the most mind-numbingly boring persons in the world.

Those would be the tr00 and kvlt metalheasds, who spend their days trying out different brands of corpse paint.

Wannabe's are funny, I (and main unit wil also) remember 3 wannabe's at WOA last year at the Dissection show.
The 2 chicks where crying because people where to rough, and the guy was having trouble staying on his feet while protecting the chicks and trying to tell others they shouldn't be so rough...
He almost attacked Main Unit

Yeah, The sad fact is that most of the people, who think that they hate or love gothic metal, don´t even know what gothic metal is, or what it is supposed to be. Here´s a good way to start,

Hm....isn't it crazy how every single forum on the net that has any remote conatct with the term "metal" has a thread of ppl complaining about wannabes and this and that band not being metal enough or not true or whatever.....

In the end it's not about styles really, is it? Either you like it or not. That's why I stick to the term gothic death when I describe the gothic'ish music I like e.g. old Anathema, old Paradise Lost, Dark Tranquility, etc... . And yes, Emo-kids are annoying as hell and can't stop whining and crying about how they're gonna cut their wrists......gah......I say "Gesichtskontrolle" before next W:O:A

That's the "natural cause of things" (see previous posts). Not to be taken seriously in any case...

I'd personally define it as "early doom", but that's just my impression

In my opinion, the proper reaction would be (if they address you personally with this sort of crap) - "Go ahead, cut your wrists if you so wish, and leave me the fuck alone". At least that's what I'd say.
Fortunately I didn't run into any of these.

"Gesichtskontrolle" won't be of much use; they come, they go and never come back... good riddance.
