edit: Das Metall-Ion in diesem Chelat-Komplex ist zweifach positiv geladen. Es wird die Dinatriumethylendiamintetraessigsäure verwendet, bei der je ein Natrium-Ion an zwei Säuregruppen gebunden ist; die anderen zwei Säuregruppen spalten je ein Proton ab, welches sich an den Stickstoff bindet. So kommen 6 Wechselwirkungen an das Metallion zustande - und die Affinität zu zweifach positiv geladenen Ionen...
