Even if we didn't get a full-on organized forum camp, would it be difficult just to arrange a meeting place to hang out at some point?

it's just a real problem, when you come by car, because the steward marshal the drivers ... the campgrounds must be filled one after the other ...

If you have a (trialband/European) cell phone and we've got your phone number, that can be arranged. Wacken is big, f*cking big!!!

Eh, I won't have one, just a pre-paid card. AP's suggestion sounds good though. And yeah i'm a newbie so i guess i don't really know just how big Wacken is! :D

Though, considering, my town has 90000 people. So, imagining almost my entire town, packed into a small space, that gives me a little bit of an idea, damn! :eek:

Pre-paid isn't the issue. It's the phone itself. US phones don't work here, unless it is a trialband phone. It is INDEPENDENT on the card you're using.

See google (google ist dein Freund)

What's the latest?

I have my internet back so I can check more often.

Quark said something to me about people cancelling because of the weather last year.I went in 2005 when it was mostly raining like shit & I DIDN'T CARE.This did piss me off.Maybe it's because I'm a son of a former US Marine(their motto,"Pain is Temporary,Pride Is Forever") & rain,snow,etc. doesn't bother me.

WACKEN!

I think the issue was that the grounds were too wet before the fest started to let people use them as usual......or was there another reason the reservations didn't stand?

I really hope we can have a WOA Forum Camp AT WACKEN next year!
I love you guys, and I'll never find anyone if I'm set up by myself in some random spot (or a mile away, if I don't make it on Wednesday, Like I would like to).

I would love to get to a second festival, but already have plans in Greece, the week before WOA, so it's not very likely at all.

fact is that THE "wacken forum camp", quasi the annual general meeting of the wacken-forum people, definitely WONT be at the wacken open air, next year. but there MAY be a possibility for SOME of the forumcamp members to camp together also at wacken IF its POSSIBLE to keep some space for these people!

@quark!
next time I will open the english thread as habitual! this here is more trouble than help ... pleas no solo effort any more!
