How do you say "I want a large quantity" of something?

"Ich möchte viel ... haben."

Edit: You can add "bitte" at some places in the sentence, to make it more polite.

eg:

"Ich möchte bitte viel ... haben." (standard)
"Bitte, Ich möchte viel ... haben." (unusual but gramatically allowed)
"Ich möchte viel ... haben, bitte." (also standard, when you're not sure about your sentence...)

you say "du" to people, you have a personal relation to or mostly to people in your age or with your interests. For example: your mother, your sister, your friends, the guy from your footballteam, the creep in the tent next to you at the festival or the guy sleeping next to you in the subway.

you say "Sie" to persons to be respected. For example to your boss, to the waiter in the restaurant or (mostly) to the cab driver.

it's just like the tu and usted in spanish. I hope you got me. :ugly:

oh..twenty years ago "Hauptschule" was very different to what it is today..
nowadays every stupid has abitur. so hauptschule is for the total losers :o
Right I'm going to put myself out there and say

"Ich möchte viel Karotten haben bitte !!"

That feels so much better now :D
