Believe it or not I couldn't find it ANYWHERE in Germany

everytime I asked for it all I was offered was apfelschortle (not sure if the right spelling-sorry) which is juice mixed with carbonated water...*sigh*

I finally tried apple wine in Mainz, but that tasted like flat diluted apple cider


I thought Germany invented cider?!?! I couldn't even find any in Munich

Not to forget the legendary surströmming (fermented herring) of northern Sweden. Smells like the dixis at Wacken, but tastes surprisingly well.
