Stella Artois is pretty big in Belgium, but it just pilsener. About the offer, Amsterdam pretty much sucks to drink beer overthere..too crowded, too much expensive and too noisy. You should go to Nijmegen or Maastricht but both places are not near Amsterdam

well you can get cheap beer but it tastes like crap
all the best beers are the imported ones Belgian and German beers are the best
Hey you live in North Yorkshire with one of the best breweries in the world next to you and you import your beer? Samuel Smith from Tadcaster rules. The Imperial Stout is one of my alltime favourites and also the Taddy Porter is marvelous.
And in York is one of the best beershops I´ve ever seen. The Beerritz quite near the Minster. There you can get some of the best brews from all over the world.

Damn, there were alot of entries on this thread since last time I logged in :)

Beer is realy expensive in Sweden if yoit at a pub, usually, I tend to go to a rock place which sells bottled beer "cheap", at that play great music :)

Don't think we earn more mney here in Sweden than in other countries, know that in my field of work ppl in Great Britain, Ireland and Germany earn better...

But as I think it was Korgul said: The best Swedish beer is Norrlands Guld!

sure those beers you mentioned are great but i have to admit they are not my fave's

haha i know it seems kind of strange when we do have great beer here that i choose the imported German,Belgian and Czech beers lol guess if i lived there i would prefer Yorkshire beer :)
