You've referred me to that one before. I just prefer to have a physical book in front of me. And the "dummies" one seemed to be favored by most people on Amazon.com. But i still may refer to that one you linked me too.

Could you refer me to any books or webpages that talk about everything that has to do with beer, like an introduction to beer in general. I heard that the "Dummies" book has a lot of information of WHAT to do, but not necessarily WHY.

I have that (Palmer) as a book as well, I also find it easier to have a book handy.

Other good books in English to get started with:

The Complete Joy of Home Brewing (Charlie Papazian), 3rd ed., 2003

The Home Brewer's Companion (Charlie Papazian), 1994

They both deal with a lot of why's.
Also they bring up loads of recepies.
If I remember correctly the first one is the beginners one, the latter is more of the advanced studies.
