Why not combine both? If you use energy, you'll loose weight as well, and if you start having a decent balanced food regime, it might give an extra boost!

The problem that I have seen from watching what other ladies are doing is that when they start lifting the weight loss stops and instead normally things just shift around. The scale no longer moves BUT because muscle is denser than fat it will take up less room and thus even if the scale does not move the inches will shift and shrink and so I 'should' look smaller. I am just trying to decide If I can deal with the number not going down - and possibly even going up due to water retention while my muscles are repairing themselves. I just need to motivate myself LOL - I'm such a lazy ass when I get home.

I'm not at all worried about the food regime - I've lost 50 lbs in the past 8 months with only watching what I eat so I have that part all figured out ;)

I understand. I could very good live with the temperatures in Manitoba. It was sometimes nearly -30 C. Once i was outside with an T-Shirt...ok...it doesn´t make sense...but i wasn´t ill and my clothes were pretty good. It was very dry too. In the beginning 3 days blizzard and then...no more snow...but it was enough...:D:D:D for the hole winter...

Ah WINTERpeg :p I lived in Calgary and Edmonton (in Alberta) for about 30 years. I much preferred the dry air to the humid air and TONS of snow that we get on this side of the country (Ontario/Quebec)

Score. Just found all my teacher's powerpoint lectures online. No more note taking for me. :D

Wish I'd tried to look earlier than now, 2/3 of the way through the semester. :p

By the way...i never saw so much snow, tons you said :D, like in Winnipeg (Birds Hill) like i was there. Never in all my years in Germany. I was fallen in a hole of snow...it was not funny, because nobody was there. I fought in the snow. Jesus. But i lost one of my boot. :uff:

You actually lived there, or was it a vacation/trip you made?

I understand your English ;) You speak it much better than I would speak German - I only know a few words.

I've seen some pretty deep snow..right now in front of my house the drifts (snow pile) is about 6 feet high. I would not want to fall into that!

I lived in Canada almost a year. After 6 months there was a breake, because it was not alloud to stay for a hole year. And then i came back again. I lived in a Familiy in Birds Hill near (near is good...it was a long way to Birds Hill and further to Winnipeg...) to Winnipeg. It was a very learnful time but a nice time. I loved it. And at the end of this time i dreamed english. The mother of that family was given me the best advice...don´t translate all the time into german. :)

I know hte last advice! :D

But cool! Though wouldn't be anything for me. I'm always afraid to be 'stuck' somewhere. (no drivers' licence, no car either obviously) I prefer Europe over (north) America.

First (and last) time I was in the USA, the couple living across the street of my brother-in-law, were Germans. They were thrilled to talk German to me, as they still talked it indoors, and with their children (who were born there).
