Moin everyone! How have you all been the last while? It's almost springtime so you will see less of me as I try to get my ass back in shape after the winter. I have a few more pounds to lose before Wacken!

And by "didn't budge", I mean all I got was a "maybe you guys will pull through".

Well, you better believe I will. I'll do all the work myself if I have to (and I might). I'm better at individual projects anyway. And it'll blow you away.

That's what I have had to do many times. I am the same as you, I was so bored in University that I used to skip classes all the time. I still graduated with honors and a 3.82/4 GPA but yeah.. You get fucked. It's a lot of work when you have to do the whole group project yourself. My final project was one I had to do alone.. Was a big pain in the ass! But I did it ;)

You and me both! I really want my clothes to be loose like last time so that at worst they're snug by the time I get home. I'll just have to try harder :uff:

I guess someone just assumed by my name that I was male so I've always been addressed as "Mr" by one company. Since the gender doesn't match both accounts I have to prove that one is wrong, so that all the details are the same and they are satisfied that they belong to "the same person". No wonder I've put this off for so long :uff:

People do that to me all the time because I go by "Pat" so on resumes and stuff people assume that it's "Patrick" because I am in IT and normally that's not somewhere you see women.

SO how do you go about proving you are a girl?

Certified copy of my birth certificate. I guess there's an advantage of possibly being the only person in the entire world with my full name (I've found some that came very close though) :p Too bad if I were transgender :ugly:

Yea, I've always hated group projects anyway because people are morons and don't do their part of the work (or do it badly). But this pretty much guarantees that I've been grouped with at least one or two of them.

I might get a job for few months
(cautious) congrats! (Full congrats when 100% certain, and apparently it's not yet)
Well I'm trying to get a job in Germany and now it seems that I might get one that starts asap and ends in August. That would give me time to learn german and then find a permanent job and stay in Germany forever! :D
Well, if you can get this job, you can definitely stay in Germany, as you pay taxes (social security) for at least one day. Since you've paid, you can (after that) get unemployment in DE.
So if you'll get it, that'd be great news! *crossesfingers* :)

Be careful! S/He might see this group work as part of it, not just the project itself! But better than nothing at all!

Winter you'd mean!
There's SNOW here!

There's still snow here too but in Canada anything above 0 C is almost summer. It will be 11C today! that's practically bathing suit weather for some people.

I am hoping that the snow will be melting soon but regardless it is beautiful for walking which I love to do and will be doing as much as possible of in the next few months - besides I have to get my legs back under me as we will be backpacking for 3 weeks while there and I will feel very foolish if I can't even carry my pack.

It was 13C when I left this morning. Didn't even bring my jacket. :D

Of course, now comes allergy season for me. I'll enjoy my last non-congested, not-sore-throat days... :o
