RE my super - it's going to be a giant pain in the arse but I basically have to prove that I was never a male in order to be able to roll my two accounts together into one fund and shut down the inactive one :uff: At least now it won't go to the ATO.

I guess someone just assumed by my name that I was male so I've always been addressed as "Mr" by one company. Since the gender doesn't match both accounts I have to prove that one is wrong, so that all the details are the same and they are satisfied that they belong to "the same person". No wonder I've put this off for so long :uff:

Inactive accounts with less than $2000 will go straight to the tax office unless we contact the company to ask them not to do so. Pretty sure no-one wants their hard-earned super (which basically will fund our retirement instead of an aged pension) to be mismanaged by the tax office. It was bad enough when our money was played with and lost during the GFC

Well this is stupid.

In one of my classes (my first one, the 8am one), the rest of the assignments for the semester are group projects. And some of the groups are already assigned. He took the people who showed up the least often and put them together, and everyone else got to pick their group. I'm among the people in an often-misses-class group.

And while I know I've been trying to make it, when I know I'm not getting enough sleep and have a calculus quiz or test, and all we do in the class is stuff I already know (this is the class I got a 96 on the midterm), I choose sleep over this class. But everyone else? They may be having similar issues.

But most likely I'm stuck with a bunch of idiots who aren't going to do anything and are going to drag me down.

I tried to talk to him about it, and explain myself, but he didn't budge. Apparently he did this because he didn't want the no-shows to drag down everyone else. And while that's understandable in a way, he's screwed everyone else over.

I've had boring teachers, I've had bad teachers, I've had mean teachers. But never have I had one that so unapologetically, intentionally, set up some students for failure. This is ridiculous.

And by "didn't budge", I mean all I got was a "maybe you guys will pull through".

Well, you better believe I will. I'll do all the work myself if I have to (and I might). I'm better at individual projects anyway. And it'll blow you away.
