Quiet day. And tomorrow the entrance of St. Nicolas. Sort of the Dutch/Belgian Santa Claus. Like in Canada, he has his own zip code here in Belgium. His birthday is Dec. 6 (BE) though.

That sounds fun. The Christmas season here has already started though I will not start doing anything until December - I am not religious and I do not like all of the 'materialism/consumerism' that happens at Christmas so I refuse to be a part of it. They start putting up Christmas things here almost even before the end of Halloween

There is a Christmas parade next weekend that we will go see with our son but apart from that no shopping until December!

I would boycott it too if I didn't have a kid. It has been so ruined by the shopping that people completely miss the 'family' part and think it's all about what you will GET..sad.

I have 3 kids, so a complete boycott is difficult, as you say. Yet I try. Stubburn as I am.

I was going to have fish tonight but will depend if my boyfriend has to stay late we might end up doing takeout.
