not only will your issue get fixed faster, they actually know what you're talking about... and you don't have to explain yourself 10 times... :ugly:

The worst are:
(before I start, I don't know how it is in Canada, with the same bilingual status)
If you call the helpdesk, you choose your language (my case: NL), and then get someone on the phone who does not speak Dutch (nor French or German) and you have to explain everything 100x. Those are really annoying!

That's what I pay for data only. (500Mb as of yesterday, used to be 250Mb)

Still too expensive. But communication (telecommunication in particular) is very expensive in Belgium. One of the reasons I have 3 cell phone #.

I think you're actually better off there though. Here they make you sign 2 year contracts with the carrier to get a phone. 3 years in Canada. There are prepaid options but they're awful for smartphones.

Wow cheap...Here if you want something like that it's about 100$/month. I have unlimited text and some talk ( I never use it for calls) for 30$ but it's a 'dumb' phone so no cool apps or anything like that.

It's about the same if I were on my own contract. Luckily I'm not.

I hate calling support. At work I have to call them sometimes to activate customers' prepaid phones for them. The one I most frequently have to call apparently employs people who barely speak English. Likely in India. I fear for when I have to call them for something other than activating phones...

Same here. A flat rate of €2/day for smartphone use with a prepaid (but I'm not entirely sure, as I have a contract.)

And the same with durations, though the EC/European Parliament has recently forbidden such contracts, which makes it easier to switch carriers.

Nonetheless, if you live in a small country, you're more likely to pay more on roaming, as you're relatively quick "out of your country", and that's even more expensive! (Belgium: local price plus 99ct | 99ct per recieved call | 11ct/txt | 85ct/MB and that's only within EU!!!)

It's the same BUT if you actually speak French you are more likely to speak to someone in Canada so sometimes people will pick French and then speak English just to avoid going to an 'overseas' call center.

I wish I could've done the same. But for one reason or another I fear to arrive somewhere in France. And there's already a difference in words, let alone in dialects/accents. :D

L'accent est trop difficile pour les Européens, alors c'est évident que l'on te transfere à quelqu'un au Canada.

:D

But it's true. The Quebec accent is sooo typical, even (European) French speaking people can't understand it completely, just because of its typical pronounciation.
