"That's it"??!! 4 languages is amazing..I know probably most European people speak more than 2 but here we have a very HUGE area including USA where everyone speaks English and it is only in this little teeny piece that you have to speak French, not the whole country :( I can get by with French but I don't have enough to be fluent for business.

And by staying there you'll get there. (unless you do as I do, and keep using Dutch, or in your case, English) ;)

But (thanks wiki) you are not that far from Ontario. Can't you look there?

But I guess you'll wind up with the same problem. Being bilingual.

Alors, il faut que tu apprennes le français. Désolé. Mais tu n'as pas le choix. Même si 99% est anglophone, au QC c'est inversement.

I work in Ottawa,Ontario. In this area you must be bilingual to do any kind of service job, management job and about 90% of anything else. We are right on the border with Quebec and Ottawa is the capital of Canada so everyone here is all proud that the "country" is bilingual when really it's only this tiny part and the government has no interest to help anyone that already lives here to take language class :( And yes, I know, I have no choice. I keep taking classes but have yet to find a good school where I can learn. It's one of my biggest annoyances of the government in that they SAY we are bilingual but yet will not help you get there unless you are a new immigrant.

Minus the cold it could be what I had, which in the end had me in the back of an ambulance, and then hooked up to IV fluids and God-knows what else. As if your illness is not an "acceptable" reason to not come to work. How crazy are these people???

Ouch. :( That sucks.

Well, unfortunately you get people that take advantage of sick days. Makes it harder for the rest of us when we're actually sick. Though I'm not sure why it matters in a job like mine where you get paid by the hour. If I'm sick enough I'm willing to lose a day's pay, as long as I'm not calling out all the time, it should be fine. But oh well.
