Yep, working for the government has its perks Many places will allow up to 10 days per year and if you don't use them, then too bad so sad. I hardly ever get sick so I'm happy to have loads for when I need it. If I leave or I get fired my remaining sick leave doesn't get paid out, that's the only catch.

So you can transfer your "sick days" to the year after? Like.. I can hardly do that with normal days off.
