I would in almost all circumstances say chocolate>everything else, but I can't in this instance. I could almost go another one, but I shouldn't. Maybe I'll make herbal tea

If this is about what I think it is then I would say he should just go for it and it doesn't matter too much what is said.
At least I always know quite fast which guys might be potential friends or more and it wouldn't matter what is said when asked out

I mean, there is a million ways to ask something like that
