I'm glad not to live in e.g. Spain, Italy or Greece for this moment, where unemployment rates are over 20%! (OK, I know in Spain EVERYBODY who does not work is considered unemployed, even handicapped people who don't have to or cannot work anymore.)
Nevertheless... there's always a bigger supply than a demand.

Speaking of which, how did it end up with your job application? Did you hear anything yet?

But in the meantime I've had two job offers. Too bad they're scams.

I heard from one place today and there are now 10 applicants so I guess I have 10% change to get it. I hope they are smart and understand how badly they need to have at least one female there and not just men/boys

Here they make unemployement rates look better any way they can. If you have sickleave while unemployed you can't be unemployed, if they force you to go to some odd course about finding a job or what ever then you aren't unemployed...

Bit like here, except with the sick leave while unemployed. Unemployed = unemployed, sick or not. Which is logical, as you're to find a job afterall.

Handicapped who get a handicapped allocation are excluded, so students, and more distinctive groupes. Unfortunately I am not. (but now I am )

Well this isn't as much IT job but more something else but it is related to computer games and maybe thats still more mens world too
