"then" means in time and "than" is to compare e.g. I have to go then and he's better than him

I had so much fun in the train today: my phones battery was dead so I had no music. Because of that I started tapping on the little table thingy in the train, and the guy on the other side of the path joined in
that was pretty cool coz he was very good!
