I can remember that we (as this groupe here) we had kind of a consensus not to open a thread. Now, this has happened, and weather we like it or not, we have to live with it.

Frankly, this wasn't my idea either, but it is the case now.

Having said this, this doesn't mean that this thread has to die because everyone is now trying to reach the impossible goal of 100K in 100 (less) days. As far as I see it, this thread could more or less be the talking thread, while the 100k is for useless shit, or usefull information, whichever you prefer.

And.... I know for some of us (and I already mentinoed the groupe) the 100k is itself useless, still we all have to respect someone's idea, and/or opinion.

And it may not have been my idea, I will keep both threads alive.

Just my 2 cents.

Well, but actually we haven't been informed why they wanted to keep this thread alive. Therefore we couldn't know people would stick to it for any reason.

If you say the 100k is for useless shit, you kinda say that the 25k and the 50 were useless too. I hope no one will agree to that, since it was the object that brought all of us together...

And we're also having conversation in the 100k thread, thank you...

The only difference that a spam goal serves is that for spamming people are in the thread longer, also when they are alone at first and there's a higher chance to meet each other.

If there's no need to spam, the people peek in, see that no one's there and leave again. Best example the temporaily death of this thread! And I am still convinced that it has only gotten to life again, because they started competite us, (which is a goal again).

(and btw. since I participated at the idea doing a new thread, you did too )

no, we just wanted to keep people in contact (and as I said that worked out) so we're actually the "heros" of the story.

"victorious"? Dunno, what way you see it, but we don't want competition We just want to talk and have a common goal. That's also why we decided, we'll even keep writing in here, if it's for a talk and we'll come back, when our goal is reached/over.

true, the fun in spamming comes from talking to people and reaching a goal... but why not keep it all here? if you want, we could even say let's get to 150K in 100 days... and just have quark change the first post [not the title, obviously, since we can't]
i don't mind you guys posting in there, really i just want to keep this thread going. that way, we'll just keep it going for a long time, setting new goals within it. and we don't keep starting over.

i don't think he meant to say the 100K was for useless posting, he was just thinking of ways to split up the posts so both threads keep going. and if we want a goal, it doesn't mean we have to start a new thread.

if everyone agrees on closing that thread and moving it here, then sure.
