I was in London in 87, I loved it, and even then it was expensive for me, but the pound just kicks the dollar's ass all over the place. It is much worse now. The pound to the dollar was comparable to what the Euro is to the dollar now.

We also went to Bath, Brighton Beach, Blackpool, Liverpool, Stonehenge and Scotland. It was a great trip. Though it does seem that England is not very sunny most of the time. Maybe it was just while I was there.

No, it's not at all anymore! I needed aged to find any metalheads or metal bars. Everyone I found was complaining about that the metal scene got really weak to almost nothing in London. I actually found some so called "metal bars". They played soft rock and weren't allowed to change the music

Never went to the UK. As I only want to go by train, that was not possible for a long time. Now I can, but not with someone who's claustrophobic.

And, due to my eyesight, I'm afraid to go by car, as I'll end up at the "driver's site". All that traffic coming towards me....
