Mostly:

-Deciding how much time to spend in each place.
-Deciding if I want to try and camp in some places, or get hostels.
-What route to take that would be most cost-efficient and time-efficient.
-Being as cheap as possible

I have roughly 3 weeks, and am going after Wacken, to try and avoid the major tourist rush.

Camping over here is usually quite far off, you can find some cheap hostels that are very central.

Trains should work well if ordered in fairly good time before (in Swden tickets are usually released some 90 days before departure)

In the nordic countries English usually is fine

I plan on being out in nature a lot, and want to visit grim forests, awesome fjords, and mountains of might.

tourist rush... you have any idea how big those countries are?

my "lonely planet" books tell me that june thru early august, all the hotels and hostels get booked up like crazy. but that hopefully is just in the major cities like oslo n helsinki and such.

hmm I just camped with a tent... you could be right... but I think it's only in the big towns... althoug in small towns there probably aren't that much hostels...

from what i have heard about the cost of alcohol up there, those might be the only beers I taste the whole trip!
