my German teacher was telling us about why we should learn German...
it was great, for one reason, she was like, you know when you're trying to say something in English, but you can't think of the word, and it bugs you for the rest of the day? well you can just think of the word in German and move on :rolleyes::D

there really aren't many english words that have a 'Y' in the middle. Almost always as the first, or last letter.

When it's the first letter, like in 'yellow', it's the way Germans say 'j' as in 'jot'.

When it's the last, as in 'horny', it's like an "ii" sound in German.

Dunno if you were asking about that but I started thinking about it anyways...

yea, I noticed that myself. Besides that there is no German "ii" :p but anyways, do you know any other way to show Kris how to pronounce the 'ü'? I know it's in the word vinyl....
