^^ I remember when I saw Die Hard in English. I was like... damn, they could have taken German people to say the German sentences or at least translate it correctly (they are talking nonsense ;) ). And then you saw one terrorist walking around, talking English and I was like: Damn, that guy is finally German! Finally someone who's English you can understand :p I think we just talk pretty clearly

Lol I haven't seen it but usually when there are people acting as Germans in our films, it is pretty stereotypical. I haven't seen Die Hard though. When I saw 'Der Tunnel' the Turkish actor Mehmet Kurtulus played an Italian American, and he spoke english just fine. You guys take a little bit more care I suppose :p

Couldn't find the original post but this is not doubletalk

opposing gay marriage due to personal beliefs NOT EQUAL TO opposing gay marriage on federal/constitional grounds

in other words, you might be against gay marriage personally, but realise it's wrong to impose your personal beliefs on others or make them law.

from wikipedia: "Obama voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment which would have defined marriage as between one man and one woman, but has said he personally believes that marriage is defined as a religious bond between a man and a woman."

I know. I didn't think about it till after I posted the comment. It's almost like a person who doesn't smoke cigarrettes. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean that you have to take away somebody's free choice of whether they can smoke or not. It's unconstitutional.
