here many newspapers are not using the new one... and especially if you write papers for university you have to use the new ortography, but in quotes from literature you still write in the old way because most literature was released before 1996 (and because the university seldom buys new editions). And now there will be a second change in autumn and only one year of transition period.
One more reason why I want our language as a own one... because I'm tired from the changes Germans always have to do....

seriously it won't help. The problem is the whole system. You pay a lot of money but the university is not able to offer all courses every term. I wanted to attend some more basic courses but some are only offered in winter. In other courses I don't get a place because 160 people apply for 40 course places and so on... you lose time just because no one is interested to offer more courses.
And to get work is almost impossible after high school. I tried it for months to get a job, but nothing. So I have no choice, I have to stay at university although I want to work.

I usually do 8-10 courses each term and this term I'll have 4 courses and the one I'm just doing (will finish on Monday) - maybe a 6th course (just got a place on the waitinglist) and maybe one in criminal law. But the course I applied to has changed and so far no one knows which I course I have to attend now for sociology. I wrote two mails but I still have no information.

I'm only at university on Tuesday and Wednesday and one Friday each month if my timetable remains like that. And this really sucks.
