Nope, as far as I know they're us-american.

Well... mathcore is kind of special. One can say it actually is a mathematical approach to music - very inscrutable structure, no melodies - to most people I met it's just noise. Converge are one of the longest existing mathcore bands, they basically started the whole thing in 1992.

I knew a guy who liked Sonic Youth and swore they were gods..
I never got it.. I could hear the talent , but it was just ...i don't know.

like primus. Awesome musicians, but it sounds so messy.
