Only 14 days to go... and I'll be off to Dessel, after more than 10 years absence. I'm curious how things will work out. (and hopefully I can make the Full:Metal:Train to Mol, brought to you by SNCB/NMBS! )

I must admit I regret not getting Sweden Rock tickets. I was saving myself for Wacken, but I should have done both.

It's Download festival this weekend too, which is rather near me. I can get a bus there in fact. But the line-up was just too disappointing to bother with this year.

Sweden Rock has a fantastic lineup !

Hellllllllllllo Hot tub.. 51 days until my flights.. WHOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO.. now the fun of guessing (as a first timer to WOA) all the junk I am gonna bring... and be pissed when I forget something.. LMAO.. These boards have been an AMAZING help for ideas, reminders (I have been looking on and off all year). I hope everyone is having an awesome day!!

Like yourself, this will be Our first time to W:O:A and ... well ... festivals in general to be honest, I do expect that there will be something We forget no matter how prepared We seem to be. The boards have been such an awesome source of information ... almost every question I had I've found an answer in the guide as well as just following the forum in general reading what others had to say about their own experiences.

I think it was @agresionpower who said not to forget Passports and tickets ... Ours are already tucked away and ready to go ... not to be forgotten !!

It's actually me, through the camping lust thread.

Dude, you certainly get around !!!

And I reviewed my accreditation for the camping and facilities for handicapped people. More security there.

A productive weekend...

Got new combats, shorts and linen trousers in readiness for Wacken
Got all the camping gear down from the loft
Pitched the bigger tent to check for issues (none found)
Pitched and waterproofed (not that it is required as the sun is out for Wacken I've been reliably informed) the back-packing tent and replaced a split pole
Took delivery of and tried out a new portable speaker
Took delivery of 3 new CD's (Alien Weaponry was one of them)

All in all, a very successful weekend in readiness for Wacken. Just got to start the packing now so it is not left until the last minute.
Beginning to get very excited!

year before heading back to Wacken... but
then I caved and bought a ticket for this
year!! lol

I'll fly outta SFO the weekend before into
Amsterdam. Aim for Hamburg either Mon
or Tues. Out to Wacken Wed morning at
the absolute latest but wouldn't mind
getting out by Tues night if I can help it.

and I just found out, that SNCB/NMBS will probably go on strike on June 28. Great, I see a scenario like 3 years ago, where I had to take a taxi to Liège.
Hopefully it won't have a big effect, as it is only a small trade union, and not one of the bigger 3. Nonetheless.....
