Here in bars one pint of beer (that usually isn't even filled all the way) costs anything up to like 8 euros at least. I try to not go to those bars. :D 8 euros for a beer is pretty ridiculous.

I don't know how it is for you where you're from, but the thing killing us here is the exchange rate to Euro. I need to pay 1.40$ Canadian to have one Euro.... that sucks
That's kind of irrelevant. Even though you get only 1 of their currency in exchange for 1.4 of yours, you can buy more for 1 of their currency when there.

SGD is about 1.5 per Euro, so not too far from CAD.

Cheapest one is a bit less than a euro per can. So one can is 0,33l.

over here the cheapest is like 30 cents for 0.5l
I rather pay a bit more for a better taste though :p

Yeah that's cheap, over here I would pay 2.50-3$ for 0.33cl
$4 for the cheapest 33cl can here, which translates to about 2.7 Euros. It's about half of that when buying duty-free from the airport, but that's pretty much as cheap as it gets.

Actually I did. :D
I knew alcohol is more expensive in QC than it is in EU. (apart from Scandinavia and Finland)
Since I do not know any other prices in Canada, it's the ONLY example I could give!

Well you shouldn't argue about thing you don't know then, I mean this is by far the worst possible comparison haha
You're basing your calculation of what my trip costs comparing the cheapest thing I can get there to what it cost me here. You should compare things like food, train tickets, accommodations, tent rental….etc and calculate how much that is in CAD

If you're talking about beer yes it's cheaper, but for food for exemple it costs me the same amount of dollars or more if we don't take currency into account for a meal in Germany and after that exchange it for my currency. I can tell you it's more expensive than the same meal I get here...
