But wasn't the old beer garden next to the market? Like close to where you enter wackinger village?

it was on the right side of the market (as seen on this map).
And there's still a sign of a picknick table, which means beergarden.

So the beergarden pretty much is now where the metal market event tent used to be. Plus the beergarden in the middle of the wackinger village, and the one next to full metal army and all that.. o.o
