I'm a bit lazy to calculate, but apart from a long ship ride from Stockholm to Finland, it's like 50 hours by train!

It's just a bit less, nonetheless, you "loose" an hour crossing the Swedish/Finnish border, which you'll gain back recrossing it.
There's also the option through St. Petersburg, but I'm not sure you'd want to do that ride. Difficulties with Russian border patrol etc. Visa, and whatever. Beurk!

Me too.

A friend of mine has done it. From Moskau to Bejing! 7 days on the train, if I'm correct, half a day through customs in the Russian/Chinese border. And 2 single flights from Amsterdam-Moskau and Bejing-Amsterdam.
