Milkie;1343464 Nicer than in Finland at least! People are so grumpy here. One beer can and everyone drinking from it with straws. Yup. n.[/QUOTE schrieb:

This picture with the beer can and straws...made my day:D

the german people being nice? i hear that for the first time. I always did imagine us as kind of asocial crapheads. :o

You'll hear it for the second time. It's one of the reasons I love visiting Germany and keep going back, despite my complete lack of ancestral background. Everyone (except one guy ever) was willing to help me when I asked for it (even if they spoke no English), some randoms just like striking up a conversation, and then there's the festivals etc. Once I was caught on the train with the incorrect ticket whilst hungover and confused as fuck, and the guard just asked me to get off at the next station to buy a new ticket, no fine or anything.

Sure, I've never made a trip to Germany without getting yelled at, but I totally deserved it every time :p

No one will like me for disagreeing, but

I think there are kind and friendly people in all countries, you just have to be lucky to bump into the right ones :D

That's true, but in Germany, I'd just have to stare at a map or look a little stressed out and complete strangers would go out of their way to help me out. Then there's the festival experience...meeting people for the first time, maybe/maybe not even learning each other's names, and they're feeding me so much booze (also food) that they're literally tucking me into bed that night because I'm too fucked up to do it myself.
