70K Before Wacken 2013

Good news! Just got back from a ten day camping... err.. holiday? I mean, I worked the entire time but yeh.... But the good news is all my camping gear is fine and dandy! That's right, dandy!

Awesome at least you know you're Wacken ready We are going to have to rely on the camping service.. Debating if we should get one of those portable loo's For you guys who have been to Wacken..think this is a good idea or will I be ok with the festival toilets?

That was scary. I almost hit someone because my brakes failed. They slowed down enough (barely) but wouldn't stop, even though I had my foot all the way down. Going to have to get that looked at.

Get that looked at now! do not wait..and until you do, expect that you have NO breaks. So start stopping well ahead and make sure you have a plan in case it does not work (ie. drive into the ditch) This same thing happened to me once..I wouldn't drive at all if I were you until its fixed.

In other news, the bad weather seems to be kicking in earlier than predicted. We're under a tornado warning. I was at the bus stop when it kicked on, and since it's outside a college-owned building, they came out and had us all come in. So now I'm in a random room. Guess I'm missing my first class.

It's too bad - I'd rather stay outside and see if I can see a tornado.

Tornado warnings are a joke anyway. Even if there's one on the ground, it's likely nowhere near here because of how wide of an area they warn. I've had dozens of dozens of them in my life and none of those times have I even seen damage from one, much less been in danger from one. And they wonder why no one takes these warnings seriously.

I always thought it would be really cool to be one of those 'storm chaser' people. Still do actually, but convincing my boyfriend to let me go out purposely in the path of anything that could kill me would not be an easy thing to do so I think I will have to give that idea up hehe

I've always wanted to try storm chasing too. In the south though, we get rain with our tornadoes, making it even more dangerous since it's harder to see.
