Not exactly. It's my friend's birthday today but we celebrated with friends yesterday and I ended up staying the night. I slept on the couch and one of the cats slept on me I didn't sleep particularly deep so I was awake frequently during the night.

The kid turns 2 next month, so she's neither tall enough to open her bedroom door, nor old enough to know which buttons to press on the remote.

So anyway at about 8am I gave up trying to ignore her and let her out of her room. I hoped that I wouldn't need to do much more than cut up an apple for her but she kept saying "Pikachu" so I spent ages trying to figure out how to put Pokemon on for her to watch. I did manage to convince her that I had no idea what I was doing and played other games with her until her mum woke up.

So yeah, it'll be so cool when she's old enough to string actual sentences together

I have been waiting for this years Wacken since last years Wacken. My german friend was there and I was so jelous and decided already then that I won't miss it next (this) year.

Sometimes we just have to wait for good things and be patient even though it's sometimes hard.
