How has your day started and how was weekend?
My day started with getting out of my bed. Too early, may I add.
Says enough.
My weekend was ok, apart from the fact I did forget something, and that the weather was not nice to get out yesterday.

If I only knew how to use the remote for my friends' TV I could have shut their kid up hours before I managed to settle her down.

Though I had my day off I really didn't get much done at all, except get a couple more holiday ideas. Ever so slowly getting there...

My days off are in 2 weeks' time.
Queen's Day followed by Labour Day.
And then it's really close to RockHard in Gelsenkirchen. The first festival of the season!

Day has started slow. Stayed up too long and woke up too late
Weekend was nice and quiet. Sometimes nice to have some quiet time when kids aren't here
I went to bed too late too, but managed to get up in time. That's quite an effort for me.
Though sometimes I long for that time where I needed 2hrs to get to my work, so I could sleep in the train. In half an hour that's not possible.
And a weekend without the kids?? In 6 weeks' time. I'll be in Germany! (See my last post)

I have every other week without kids. Although my kids are old enough to do most of the things alone it's still more free when they aren't here so it' sometimes kind of nice

Well, mine aren't. So.. this is a full time job, no breaks, and 24/7. But you know how it was/is. I don't need to explain that to you.

You were babysitting?
How old was the kid?
Not exactly. It's my friend's birthday today but we celebrated with friends yesterday and I ended up staying the night. I slept on the couch and one of the cats slept on me
I didn't sleep particularly deep so I was awake frequently during the night. The kid turns 2 next month, so she's neither tall enough to open her bedroom door, nor old enough to know which buttons to press on the remote.
So anyway at about 8am I gave up trying to ignore her and let her out of her room. I hoped that I wouldn't need to do much more than cut up an apple for her but she kept saying "Pikachu" so I spent ages trying to figure out how to put Pokemon on for her to watch. I did manage to convince her that I had no idea what I was doing and played other games with her until her mum woke up.
So yeah, it'll be so cool when she's old enough to string actual sentences together

Yes, I still remember how it used to be. Good thing is, that it will get easier. And it's still worth it
