I think the only people I've heard of who got fired (from the state health department at least) had to "work really hard" for the privilege (for lack of a better word).Your employer wants it to be limited in time, (government too btw) but you can take as many days as you need! You're even protected agains firing. No one can fire you while you're on sick leave!
