I think the only people I've heard of who got fired (from the state health department at least) had to "work really hard" for the privilege (for lack of a better word).

Your employer wants it to be limited in time, (government too btw) but you can take as many days as you need! You're even protected agains firing. No one can fire you while you're on sick leave!

Yes and no, you can lose your job, they have to support you in looking for another one and you partially keep your income. Still, you are protected quite well and can go on sick leave for about 11 months and then work for about a month or so and you'll be fine.

You'd have to learn Frysk then. It only concerns NATIONAL languages. (Dutch, French & German here)
