Holy crap that's going to be a busy week. Maiden arena shows, Brisbane Soundwave and UFC. I'm going to be upand down the east coast.

I'm in the front half of the upper level. It's far away, the venue has floor, lower level and upper level. I've seen photos people had from last year, the sightlines still look good and you have the screens too.

It's a travelling festival. One day each city, 70 or so bands, 7 stages. All punk, metal, core, emo.

Apparently they're meant to be having one of their wettest summers ever. Someone said only one day in the forecast future doesn't have rain. They had similar floods over 30 years ago. These ones are expected to get worse though.

Looks like my timetable for Soundwave goes Saxon, the Sword, Primus, Terror, Monster Magnet, High On Fire, Slayer, The Melvins, Iron Maiden.
In Bris I'll be able to see Social distortion and Dimmu Borgir. In Melbourne i'll be able to see Slash. Hoping to catch some of Rob Zombie or Queens Of The Stoneage as well.
