yeah. we have a lot of great festivals, but not enough time and money to visit them. how much did you spend for Wacken this year?

airplane + woa ticket + hotel 2nights and transports + food & drink for one week (and i eat and drink a lot as you saw ) + merchandise = something like 800€ can't be precise...

Bummer.
But not better in Belgium either. OK, 'we' got Graspop, but that's about it.
Groezrock is no metal but punk. And for the rest, we've got Rock Werchter (general festival like e.g. Pinkpop in Landgraaf NL) and Pukkelpop, which is more underground.

in belgium graspop is a great festival... in portugal we have vagos open air. not so big as other festival in europe, not even close, but it was only the second edition this year. i would if it didn't clash with the woa dates. i sincerely hope that vagos could continue and become a great festival in portugal, and i will go if the dates don't clash with wacken.

i understand pretty well what you mean man, about your family and the woa losing the magic year after year. i hope still that we could see each other some day in some other festival!

Well, next year: RockHard (Gelsenkirchen)
Dong Open Air (Neukirchen-Vluyn)
Hörnerfest (Barnstedt, in northern Germany, I can't say goodbye from that area, I like the people there )
Folkwoods (Folk Festival - Eindhoven)
and MAYBE, just MAYBE HOA. (Barnstedt too, but i have to resist going to Wacken then )

Groezrock is HARDCORE and Punk!!! And Groezrock was my first festival in 2007

I'd write them to say it clashes with Wacken.
Surely they know Wacken and its impact it still has.

i did... somehow they don't seen to care... they lose some people from here because of that. maybe next year they could make the festival in other date, let's hope so! in the first year, after i came from wacken i went straight to vagos open air. was so cool 2 weeks almost away from home

hope this year the dates don't clash... if they don't, i will come back to that place for sure
