it pretty much died
rained pretty hard for awhile... and it still is, but nothing special anymore... pretty disappointing

Bleh, I hate it when that happens.
Most of the storms here with exception to last year fizzled out right before it actually hit. Or it split into two and went around.

That's why sometimes I wonder if bad storms really happen. I've never actually seen one even when we were supposed to get nailed.

yea I know right...
sometimes we get bad storms like today... but they're always way too short or not nearly as bad as expected...
nice to find someone else that loves really dangerous weather btw

Once when I was in middle school we were fearing we'd get hit with a bad hurricane and they took extreme measures, canceled school and everything. Then it missed us.

Sure, but it was still annoying. Though I was happy they canceled school until we had to make the day up at the end of the year.

ah you had to make up just one day?
I think they'd only do that in Atlanta if we were to miss multiple days of school for whatever reason... the few times we got out for a day for snow or hurricane or whatever, we never made it up

Yea, it's pretty lame.
I think it's actually hours that school must be in class. Because in my senior year they had to cut out homeroom because there weren't enough hours and they would have had to keep us another couple of day to make up for it if we didn't.
Keep in mind MA has some of the best school systems in the country too.
