that's one of the things I like about metal... sooo much diversity...

I totally agree! Many different sub-genres as well, and that keeps it interesting. I like lots of different sounding bands.

Check out Never Neverland or Alice In Hell by ANNIHILATOR for starters. Both AWESOME albums. I really like Machine Head's debut album "Burn My Eyes". I did not follow them after their second album though. They sorta went Rap Metal for a while.

good thing! Stay open minded. To me people who love to put down bands for not being brutal enough, or for being melodic are the true poseurs. Hope I don't offend anyone with that opinion.

yeah I've read good reviews on the blackening, I should check it out. As for ANNIHILATOR, I also love King Of The Kill, Schizzo Deluxe, etc.
