Someone WORKING in NL (and thus NOT living there) has to be insured TWICE!
Once in the country (s)he lives in, and once in NL. Why is that? This is fucking the EU! One shouldn't be insured twice.
Besides, you pay hundreds of €uros per month, and what do you get in return? Nothing.
Comparison:
- Naïk pays €100+ PER MONTH for Dutch Health Insurance.
- I pay €17.50 per 3 MONTHS!
And there's a "own risk" of €500 in NL in this case.
In Belgium I only pay the "personal quote" (REM-geld)
And I decide where I go, not some (expensive) insurance bloke in an ivory tower, like in NL.
Sorry, but in that respect I have to say Sipy is right, as is AP.
For housing, once I knew I wanted to live in Utrecht, I had registered myself ONE YEAR in advance in order to find some living space. And that was rather short. If it weren't for my handicap, I'd have travelled Best - Utrecht and back every day. (with the cost of the NS....)

Cologne police caught 2 presumed terrorists on a flight to Amsterdam.
They forced the plane on the ground, arresting the 2 suspects, and then the passengers had to leave the plane with their luggage.
It was on its way to Schiphol/Amsterdam airport.

they werent actually planning on attacking amsterdam or anything, they where supposed to fly to (I think) Uganda, to fly to Pakistan from there to go to a terrorist training camp
