METAL BAND CONTEST
SickIdiots.com, in cooperation with J.C.M. Records, MetalRules.com, and Alliance Radio, are running a contest to find the best up and coming metal band in the world!
The winning band will:
- play at Minneapolis Mayhem 3 in May 2006,
- get a professionally produced music video,
- and get a shit load of exposure.
If you're in a metal band or if your next door neighbor's band keeps shaking the paint off your house, grab yourself an entry form (PDF Format) and get it in to us. Full details of the contest along with information on how you, the sickidiots of the world, will help us choose the winning band will appear here soon.
Every band that enters will get airtime on Alliance Radio, a professionally produced Flash presentation including samples of your music, a bio, pictures of your band and, if available, footage of your band live on stage. That Flash presentation will be seen by thousands of metalheads here and at sickidiots.com.
Winning the contest will take work. The field will be narrowed by visitors to the site, who will vote for which band they think is best. Then, once the top bands emerge, a panel of industry professionals will take over and select the winning band. Two other bands will be chosen to receive other prizes.
Check back here soon. We already have our first few entries, so it won't be long before you'll get to start voting on who you think should play at Minneapolis Mayhem 3!
