Last year we got there the night of Headbangers Ball.

It gave us enough time to settle into the campsite before the festival started and saved us $ by not having to stay in a hotel.

The campsite it open very early. dunna which day though.

as far as I know the campsite is open from monday on - though I dunno if that is official...

My information is based on last year, when I was completely obsessed with going to Wacken and I knew almost everything there was to know about dates,times,maps,sites,sizes etc...

Unless this year they make you stay outside or something.
I really cant imagine them doing that.
